  • Event June Family Day: 250 Years of American Fashion
    As part of the Library’s America 250 commemoration, the program “Fashion at the Library of Congress: The Threads That Connect Us” explores the American story through fashion and style.

  • Event Family Day: "Carlotta's Special Dress" in Civil Rights History
    Carlotta Walls LaNier, the youngest of the Little Rock Nine, will visit the Library to share the book "Carlotta's Special Dress," her personal story about a homemade dress and the historic fight to attend an all-white school in Little Rock, Arkansas. She will appear in conversation with the book’s illustrator Vanessa Brantley-Newton. A book signing will follow.

  • Event July Family Day: The Declaration of Independence
    Celebrate America’s birthday with activities highlighting the Declaration of Independence and its legacy. Visitors can view collections displays featuring the Library’s holdings related to the document and its history.
