Audio Tour of Exhibition Available

Visitors to "American Treasures of the Library of Congress" will be able to rent a hand-held audio guide for $2.50. The digital audio wand will enable them to listen to historic audio clips, narration and readings related to selected portions of the exhibition. The Soundtrack Tour by Thwaite Productions allows the user random access to audio presentations at various points in the exhibition through the use of a numeric keypad.

The 212 hours of sound stored on the wand includes both narration about and the actual voices of presidents, poets and other famous figures from the Library's audio collections including Theodore Roosevelt, Robert Frost and Woodrow Wilson. Historic speeches and letters from Jefferson to Stalin are given dramatic readings, as well as selections from other items in the exhibition.
