Note: A continuation of the Weekly monitor and American advertiser. Continued by the Weekly monitor and Litchfield town and county recorder, starting with the issue of Dec. 5, 1786. The title again became known as the Weekly monitor, during the following dates: June 11- Dec. 31, 1787; June 30, 1788-May 11, 1789; Nov. 17, 1789-Dec. 4, 1790; May 18, 1796-Feb. 21, 1798. The issue of June 23, 1788, was known as the Litchfield weekly monitor. Finally continued by The Monitor, with the issue of Feb. 28, 1798.
