to give historical and structural review of Persian Classical Music.
The recital component was selections from her recently released
album 'Roya', inspired by the timeless wisdom of Persian poets Rumi,

The Office of Workforce Diversity and the Library of Congress Professional Association
co-sponsored a Black History Month Presentation.
Ellen R. Tise, President-elect 2007-2009 of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA),
spoke on the transformation of libraries and the library profession in post-apartheid South Africa.
"Reflections from South Africa: Libraries and Societal Change,"
Ms.Tise was the first president (1998 - 2002) of the Library and Information Association of South Africa (LIASA), the national representative body of librarians and information workers in South Africa. She is currently Senior Director, Library and Information Services at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and will serve as president of IFLA in 2009-2011.
