Iran: $20 Million Allocated to Fight U.S. Media

(Nov. 18, 2009) On August 22, 2009, the House of Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran approved by a majority vote a “top priority” bill on “exposing the U.S. violations of human rights in the world.” The bill provides for fighting back against mass media publications and other “gimmicks” used by the U.S. government against the Islamic Republic of Iran, using US$20 million from the State Foreign Exchange Reserves Fund.
