Jennifer Schwed and Doug Bradshaw, writers and directors of 19: The Musical, will discuss their research and creative process for developing the performance. 19 is the dynamic and little-known story of Alice Paul, Ida B. Wells, Susan B. Anthony, Carrie Chapman Catt, and the suffragists who fought for women's rights 100 years ago. The inspirational story of these fearless women is brought to life through jazz, spoken word, dance and audience interaction. The conversation, led by Assistant Deputy Librarian Colleen Shogan, will include performances of key songs from the show. Tickets are recommended but not required, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. https://19-musical-lc.eventbrite.com
