Workforce Performance Management (WPM)
The Workforce Performance Management (WPM) program exists to provide leadership, guidance and support for the Library of Congress managers and supervisors in carrying out their WPM responsibilities. The WPM team develops and advises on innovative performance management strategies, best practices, and techniques and partners with the Library's service units on various initiatives. Through WPM, managers and supervisors encourage and guide staff to high-level performance that aligns their daily work with the accomplishment of the strategic goals of the Library.
The WPM process includes: performance planning, monitoring, documenting, feedback, coaching, development, and regular performance review and appraisal. The Workforce Performance Management web page provides links, tools and guidance designed to assist managers and supervisors in implementing a comprehensive performance management process.
