Classroom Scheduling and Use Instructions
Human Capital Directorate/Workforce Performance and Development Division (WPD) manages three classrooms which are available to Library users for training. Classrooms should be reserved as far in advance as possible and are subject to the Classroom Scheduling and Use Instructions outlined below. Failure to follow the instructions can be grounds for future reservation denial.
If you are unable to use the classroom that you have requested and reserved due to do an event being canceled or rescheduled, please inform WPD as soon as possible by emailing [email protected].
- Classrooms A/B, C/D, and E are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Each classroom has a standard configuration. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of your event to set up the classroom as you need it.
- No food or beverages allowed in the computer classroom (C/D).
- The use of classroom computers is limited to installed software which includes Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Publisher, and OneNote). Users may not install additional software. If you require specialized software for your training, please contact [email protected] at least 10 business days prior to your event. Specialized software is subject to the approval of the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
- Presentation remotes (clickers) are available for check out at the WPD front desk
- At the end of the class, the person responsible for the reservation must:
· Return the computer to its original set-up, including removing files from the desktop
· Return classroom tables and chairs to the standard configuration
· Ensure that any trash, including used flipchart paper, is removed and placed in the containers outside the classroom
· Erase the marker boards
· Return the presentation remote to the WPD front desk
· Report any issues with the equipment, chairs or classroom so that we can address them for future classes
