All talks were at 12:00 noon in the Graphic Arts Galleries.
- Wednesday, October 3, 2012—Sara Duke and Carol Johnson from the Prints and Photographs Division, co-curators for Down to Earth: Herblock and Photographers Observe the Environment, will give a highlights tour of the exhibition.
- Thursday, October 11, 2012—Photographer Robert Coppola will discuss his photographs.
- Wednesday, October 17, 2012 — Sara Duke and Carol Johnson from the Prints and Photographs Division, co-curators for Down to Earth: Herblock and Photographers Observe the Environment, will give a second highlights tour of the exhibition.
- Friday, December 7, 2012—Photographer Peter Goin will discuss his photograph "Helms Gravel Pit Just North of Highway 80, Sparks, Nevada, 1990." Peter Goin will sign his books, A Doubtful River and Black Rock in the Library Gift Shop. These books will be available for purchase at the book signing.
- Tuesday, December 11, 2012—Photography collectors and naturalists, Kent and Marcia Minichiello, will speak about the Minichiello Collection of 20th century landscape photographs that are included in the Down to Earth exhibition.
- Tuesday, January 15, 2013—Fine art aerial photographer Alex MacLean will discuss his photograph "Congress, Arizona, 2005." Alex MacLean will sign his books, Exploring America from the Air and Over: the American Landscape at the Tipping Point in the Library Gift Shop. These books will be available for purchase at the book signing.
- Tuesday, February 12, 2013—Photojournalist Sam Kittner will discuss his work from the 1980s that documents environmental issues in Cancer Alley, an area along the Mississippi River between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
