Roxane Gay is the author of the essay collection “Bad Feminist,” the novel “An Untamed State,” multiple short story collections and the memoir “Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body.” Most recently, she published the full-length graphic novel “The Sacrifice of Darkness External” (Archaia) with Tracy Lynn Oliver and Rebecca Kirby. She is a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times. Gay is the recipient of a PEN Center USA Freedom to Write Award, a Lambda Literary Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship. She also is the co-creator of the Black feminist podcast “Hear to Slay” and the creator of “The Audacious Book Club.”
