Lutenist Thomas Dunford is always game for making music with others; he has already amassed a large discography as evidence of this collaborative inclination, in addition to forming the acclaimed Jupiter ensemble. But he is also a passionate advocate for the sound of the solo lute, and Dunford has prepared for us a powerful but intimate program of music for this solo recital. Featuring repertoire by composers represented in his acclaimed solo recordings, Dunford travels from England to Italy, across the span of centuries, in a survey of remarkable lute literature.
