Vocalist, trumpeter and songwriter Bria Skonberg has made a name for herself in the hot jazz world. A native of British Columbia and based in New York City, Skonberg was the 2017 JUNO Award winner for best jazz album and a 2019-2020 JUNO nominee. Referred to as a millennial shaking up the jazz world, Skonberg is admired for her brassy voice, fierce trumpet, and captivating compositions that have taken her to stages around the world, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Aberdeen Jazz Festival in Scotland and more. The Wall Street Journal described her as “one of the most versatile and imposing musicians of her generation.”
