Library of Congress Alumni Network

One of the most rewarding aspects of my 34 years working at the Library of Congress is the people. I have worked with, and continue to work alongside, a truly incredible team. Dr. Hayden says it best, “Our staff are the treasures at the Library of Congress.” No matter if you were a summer intern, spent a small part — or decades — of your career at the Library, or were a scholar in residence, thank you for your service. We value your contributions as caretakers, curators, protectors, administrators, creators and storytellers.

Your contributions built the foundation that helps the Library connect with Congress and the American people every day.

You are part of our history — what we have been and what we hope to become.

Dr. Hayden and I invite you to join the Library of Congress Alumni Network and stay connected with the Library community. By joining, you will receive the Gazette, Library of Congress Magazine, and other Library news, invitations to special events, and a discount at the Library of Congress Shop.

We look forward to staying connected with you and welcoming you back to the Library.

J. Mark Sweeney
Principal Deputy Librarian of Congress
