Emilio Betti is best known as a jurist, and the great majority of his works are about law. Betti’s works of a philosophical nature are either about Nietzsche or hermeneutics. The meeting believes that the work being cataloged would be better classified in BD241 for hermeneutics rather establishing a number for Betti in B. The proposal was not approved.

The work being cataloged describes these family names as variants of Arvizu family. These variants will be added to the proposal for Arvizu family. The separate proposals for Albizu and Alviso families were not approved.
American lobster fisheries--Catch effort; American lobster fisheries--Limited entry licenses
On Weekly List 3, the decision was announced that the meeting prefers not to establish the subdivision --Catch effort under headings for individual species fisheries. Similarly, the meeting prefers not to establish the subdivision --Limited entry licenses under headings for individual species fisheries. Instead, a more general heading subdivided by either --Catch effort or --Limited entry licenses should be postcoordinated with the heading for the fishery type (e.g., Lobster fisheries--Catch effort applied with American lobster fisheries; or Fisheries--Limited entry licenses applied with American lobster fisheries). Existing headings for fisheries of individual species subdivided by either --Catch effort or --Limited entry licenses will be cancelled.
Antonov aircraft
There are several existing headings in the database that should have Antonov aircraft added as a BT. This proposal may be resubmitted along with proposals to update the existing headings.
Authors, Arab--Saudi Arabia
The heading Authors, Arab may be subdivided geographically. The meeting feels that geographical subdivision is sufficient and does not wish to begin adding references of this type (e.g. Authors, Saudi Arabian; or Saudi Arabian authors) for every nationality. The proposal was not approved.
Gortynia (Greece)
According to Geonet, Gortynia is a second-order administrative subdivision of Greece. However, it is unclear whether Gortynia is also a region of Greece. If Gortynia is a historic jurisdiction of Greece, then it should be established in the name authority file. If Gortynia is a region, the proposal may be resubmitted.
Haliotis midae culture
Following the decision made on Weekly List 3, the meeting prefers not to establish headings in the form [individual species] culture. Instead, a more general heading should be postcoordinated with the heading for the specific organism (e.g., Abalone culture applied with Haliotis midae). The proposal was not approved.
Instrument for the Evaluation of Science Education Textbooks
The work being cataloged is a dissertation in which the author argues for the need for such an entity, however, the Instrument itself does not exist, therefore, the proposal was not approved.
Little Holland House (Kensington and Chelsea, London, England : 1876-1964)
The Subject Headings Manual (SHM) H 1334 sec. 3.c. states, if there are two or more structures with the same name in the same city add to the qualifier, after the name of the city, a space, a colon, another space, and a street name. Little Holland House is on Melbury Road, which should be established, and used in the qualifier (e.g., Little Holland House (London, England : Melbury Road)). The proposal may be resubmitted along with a proposal for the road.
Sound recording producers
LCSH has an existing heading Sound recording executives and producers, therefore, the proposed heading is not needed. A UF Sound recording producers will be added to the existing heading. The proposal was not approved.
Vega Archipelago (Norway)
The Vega municipality of Norway comprises the 6500 islands of the Vega Archipelago. The SHM H 807 sec. 1. states that islands and island groups that are also jurisdictions should be established as names. The proposal was not approved.
