Gaviño family
The Subject Headings Manual, H 1631, sec. 3.b. indicates that family names should not be established solely for the purpose of adding an RT to a compound name. The proposal was not necessary.
Fotonovelas
The UFs Fotoromanzi and Fumetti were removed from Fotonovelas on WL 30 because the meeting considers it unnecessary to retain the references to these foreign terms. The proposal was not approved.
Magalloway Valley (Me. and N.H.)
The Subject Headings Manual, H 800, sec. 8. gives the instruction for valleys, “if the river is not yet established, establish a heading for the river at the same time.” This proposal may be resubmitted along with a proposal for the river.
Sangdang Sansong (Ch’ungju-si, Korea)
This heading was approved on WL 34. This proposal was not necessary.
Trout farming
The scope note under the heading Salmon farming states that general works on the cultivation of salmon or salmonid fishes are entered under the heading for an individual salmonid species or the heading for a particular group of salmonids, e.g. Trout, combined with the heading Fish culture. Therefore, for this work, the headings Trout and Fish culture should be assigned instead. The proposal was not approved.
