Huis Sonsbeek (Arnhem, Netherlands)
This is a heading for a building, for which both a name and a subject authority record exist. Since the building is not a corporate body, the subject authority record is being retained and the name authority record will be deleted. Jarvis Island (Line Islands)
The existing heading is appropriately qualified according to the Subject Headings Manual, H 807, sec. 1.b. The proposal to remove the qualifier from the heading was not approved.
Maiwand, Battle of, De Maywand Kārīz, Afghanistan, 1880
This battle was part of the Second Anglo-Afghan War. The proposal may be resubmitted together with a proposal to establish a heading for that war so that the proper BT can be made for the battle, as specified in SHM H 1285.
Operation Barbarossa, 1941
This term refers to Germany's World War II invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941. Since this was one of the major operations of the war, it is often written about without being referred to by this name. The subject headings that have been typically assigned to works about the operation are World War, 1939-1945--Campaigns--Eastern Front, and World War, 1939-1945--Campaigns--Soviet Union. UF references from this term will be added to those two headings. The proposal to establish it as a separate heading was not approved.
Platha (African people)
The form of the existing heading is well justified by reference sources. The proposal to change the heading to the form Plata (African people) was therefore not approved. The UF Plata (African people) will instead be added to the existing heading.
Robert S. Kerr Dam (Okla.)
There are two dams by this name in Oklahoma, one in Le Flore County, and one in Mayes County. A more specific qualifier is therefore needed. Since the authority record for the proposed heading has a mix of 670 fields that cover both dams, it is not clear which one is needed for the work being cataloged. The SACO library that submitted the proposal may resubmit it with a revised qualifier and the appropriate 670 field(s).

This heading is for an ancient archaeological site. The extinct city of Satrianum existed until the 19th century, and is not identical to the archaeological site.
