Japanese Canadians

The Subject Cataloging Manual: Subject Headings, H 1919.5, sec. 1.b., specifies that this heading should be expressed as Japanese--Canada. The proposal was therefore not approved.

Little Tokyo (Los Angeles, Calif.)

Little Tokyo is a section of the city of Los Angeles and as such should be established as a name heading. The proposal was not approved.

Satire

The proposed UF Social satire" is an "upward" reference from a specific term to a more general term. A separate heading for social satire should be established if needed. The proposal was not approved.

Video recordings for children

The Subject Cataloging Manual: Subject Headings, H 1913, states that headings of the type [...] films are used for works that are recorded and released on motion picture film, on video, or digitally. Therefore the existing heading Children's films should be used for video recordings for children. The proposal was not approved
