References on this heading from House of Battenberg and similar forms are not appropriate. Separate headings are established for royal houses. The proposal may be resubmitted as a heading for a family or for a royal house according to the heading needed for the work being cataloged.
Materials surface processing
The heading Surfaces (Technology) bears a UF reference Materials--Surfaces suggesting that the terminology Surface processing might be the preferred form for the heading. While the proposed form appears in titles cited in the subject proposal, it appears that no thesauri or other dictionaries in the field were consulted. There are also established headings in LCSH which would need to have the reference structure updated to add the new heading as a broader-term reference. The proposal may be resubmitted after additional research.

Since this heading contains a form subdivision and would normally be a free-floating combination, it is not appropriate to add a broader-term reference from a topical heading. The proposal was not approved.

These headings appear to be too specific for a general-purpose list such as LCSH and would be more appropriate in a thesaurus devoted especially to the field of project management. The proposals were not approved.
