Subdivisions to be added to lists of free-floating subdivisions:
Employee handbooks
UF references of the type [topic]--[subdivision] may be made in LCSH only if the topic is an established heading. Since Officials and employees is not a valid heading, the proposed reference may not be made. The proposed change to the existing BT is not appropriate in that employee handbooks cover a much wider range of subjects than communication. The proposal was not approved.
Sexual minority youth
The general heading Sexual minorities has the UF LGBTQ people. It is not necessary to make a similar reference under each heading that begins with the words Sexual minority. The proposal was not approved.
Sino-Japanese Conflict, 1937-1945
The proposal to change this heading is incomplete as submitted. There are several narrower terms and subdivisions established under the heading. These related authority records will need to be updated as well. The proposal may be resubmitted.
