Other decisions:

Intrigue in literature

Headings of the type [topic] in literature and [topic] in art are derivative. The terminology used to express the literary or artistic theme in such headings should be the same as that used for the topic in its basic heading. That means that a heading for the topic itself should either already exist or be proposed at the same time as a heading of this type is proposed. A proposal to establish a heading for "Intrigue in literature" may be resubmitted along with a proposal to establish a heading for the concept of intrigue. Variant terms for that concept should be included as UF references on the basic heading.

Land use--Government policy

This proposal is not necessary because the subdivision --Government policy is authorized for free-floating use under topical headings. The meeting did not approve creating an authority record for this combination in order to link it by RT references to the established heading Land use--Law and legistation. Links are generally not made between legal and policy headings.
