The Cutter number proposed here is for Champagne (Wine). LC uses that subject heading to refer to wines produced in the Champagne region of France. Since the book is about the sparkling wines of Italy, this terminology is not appropriate for this work. A subject proposal is also needed for Sparkling wines in art. A classification proposal for a Cutter number for sparkling wines may be resubmitted with the subject proposal.

The proposed UF reference Webliographies implies that computer network resources are equivalent to Web resources. The heading Computer network resources is not limited to Web resources so this reference is not appropriate. Since there would be no reason to establish this free-floating combination without references, the proposal was not approved.

Individual icons are treated as named works of art and are to be established as uniform titles either under the title of the work or the name of the artist. Such uniform titles are usually established in English. The subject authority proposal was not approved.
Waddel Dam (Ariz.)
This proposal mixes names of two dams--one built in 1927 and the other built from 1985 to 1994. The spelling of Waddel/Waddell is inconsistent. The proposal may be resubmitted for the needed heading(s) according to the content of the book being cataloged.
