January 31, 2013 Library of Congress Seeks Applicants for Fellowships in the John W. Kluge Center

The John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress is now accepting applications for a diverse set of fellowships.

Fellowships, which are open to scholars worldwide, are awarded for periods of four to 12 months. Before applying, scholars should view eligibility information and visa guidelines at www.loc.gov/kluge .

The following fellowships are available for post-doctoral scholars and for those who have achieved the highest degree in their field of study:

Research conducted at the Kluge Center must make substantial use of the Library’s collections. Interdisciplinary, cross-cultural or multilingual research is particularly welcome. Information about the Library’s collections can be found at www.loc.gov/rr/.

Established in 2000 through a generous endowment from John W. Kluge, the Library of Congress Kluge Center provides competitive fellowship opportunities for promising post-graduate scholars in the early years of their careers to distill wisdom from the Library's rich resources.
