Season's Final Reading Will Feature D.C. Poet Laureate Dolores Kendrick and Poet Philip Levine
WHO: Washington, D.C., Poet Laureate Dolores Kendrick and Philip Levine will read their poetry. Kendrick is the author of "The Women of Plums" and Levine is the author of "Breath."
The distinguished poets have won many awards: Levine has received the 1995 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry for "The Simple Truth" and two National Book Awards, and Kendrick has received the National Endowment for the Arts Award and the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award.
An ensemble from the Capital City Symphony will accompany one of Kendrick’s poems.
WHAT: Final reading in the Library of Congress spring literary season.
WHEN: At 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 24.
