All Facilities in the Madison Building of the
Library of Congress Closed July 1-4
Thomas Jefferson Building and John Adams Building Also Closed on Monday and Tuesday, July 3 and 4
The Library's James Madison Building, 101 Independence Avenue S.E., will be closed from 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, through Tuesday, July 4, because of required electrical maintenance work. All public facilities in the building will be closed.
On Monday, July 3, the Thomas Jefferson and John Adams buildings will also be closed because of the electrical work in the Madison Building, and on Tuesday they will be closed for the July Fourth holiday.
The Jefferson and Adams buildings will be open to visitors and researchers on Saturday, July 1. Reading rooms that will be open on Saturday, July 1, are:
