Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship Continues
David Thompson, president of Orbital Sciences Corporation, Loudoun County, Va., will speak Wednesday, November 2, and Scott Wald, president of ASAP Software Express Inc., Buffalo Grove, Ill., will speak Wednesday, November 9, in the Library of Congress Business Research Project's fall 1994 lecture series, "The American Entrepreneur: Models for the Future." The free public programs will be at 7 p.m. in the Mumford Room in the Library's Madison Building, 101 Independence Avenue S.E.
The lecture series features youthful entrepreneurs' telling of experiences in founding their own companies. Thompson founded Orbital Sciences in 1982 to develop and market space technology. Wald's 10-year-old firm specializes in resale of computer software.
The Library's Business Research Project was established in 1993 with a gift from the Edward Lowe Foundation of Cassopolis, Mich., to stimulate entrepreneurship, productivity, and innovation, with emphasis on meeting information needs of small businesses.
