Laura Kasischke appears at the 2012 Library of Congress National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: Laura Kasischke teaches in the University of Michigan master of fine arts program and the Residential College. She has published seven collections of poetry and seven novels, including her newest book of poetry, "Space, In Chains," winner of the 2011 National Book Critics Circle Award. She has received two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and several Pushcart Prizes. Her novel "The Life Before Her Eyes" was the basis for the 2007 film of the same name, starring Uma Thurman and Evan Rachel Wood.
