Journalist and author Tony Horwitz appears at the 2012 Library of Congress National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: Tony Horwitz has worked many years as a reporter, first in the United States and then during a decade overseas in Australia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, mostly covering wars and conflicts as a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal. After returning to the United States, he won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting and worked as a staff writer for The New Yorker before becoming a full-time author. Four of his books have been national best-sellers, including "Baghdad Without a Map." His latest book is "Midnight Rising: John Brown and the Raid That Sparked the Civil War."
