Speaker Biography: Robert Darnton is an intellectual pioneer in the field of the history of the book and director of Harvard University???s Library. He is the founder of the Gutenberg-e program, a collaborative effort of the Columbia University Press and the American Historical Association committed to exploring and promoting the electronic publication of scholarly writing.
