Author and management consultant Gurcharan Das speaks at the 2010 National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: Gurcharan Das is an author and management consultant. He is the author of the international best-seller "India Unbound", which has been published in many countries and languages and was filmed by the BBC. He was CEO of Procter & Gamble India and vice president of Procter & Gamble Far East from 1985 to 1992. He was later vice president and managing director for Procter & Gamble Worldwide. Prior to joining P&G, he was chairman and managing director of Richardson Hindustan Limited from 1981 to 1985, the company where he started as a trainee. In 1995, after a 30-year career in six countries, he took an early retirement to become a full-time writer. He writes a regular column on Sundays for the Times of India and guest columns for The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Time magazine. His most recent book is "The Difficulty of Being Good: The Subtle Art of Dharma" (Oxford University Press).
