Special Search Request Form

For researchers who receive a not-on-shelf report for items from the general collections stacks, the CALM Division provides a special search service. The online request and tracking system provides a more convenient means for researchers to submit special search requests and gives management a better tool for managing and tracking these requests. Please note that this service does not apply to general collections items stored offsite. Materials stored offsite are under strict inventory control, and the availability of these items is captured accurately in the LC online catalog record. Special searches are conducted over a period of 30 days after which an e-mail response of the outcome will be sent.

Please provide all required information. After clicking the button to submit your request, please copy down and retain the request number. This number should be referenced should you need to inquire about your search.
