National Federation of State High School Associations
Good statistics on high school sports participation. The website data goes back to 2007/08 but there is information tracked back to 1969.
Open Source Sports
This is going to be a series of databases for the sports of football, baseball, hockey, and basketball (other sports may be added later). Data will be added over time, but baseball data is from the Lahman Baseball Database is part of this database. It contains individual and team statistics from 1871 to present. Women's basketball data from 1996 through the 2012 and men's hockey covers the following early and alternative leagues: NHA, PCHA, WCHL (known as the WHL in its final year), and WHA. It contains individual and team statistics from 1909-10 through the 2011-12 season. Men's basketball and football are supposed to be added in 2013.

market research data for 63 sports and 85 product categories. Offers full-text
articles and reports in more than 10 leading trade publications covering U.S.
and international sports marketing, sporting goods, and export and import statistics.
Other topics covered are sports equipment, participation in sports, sports
broadcasting, and newsletters dealing with finance, licensing, and sponsorship.
Sports Industry Group
News sources for sports with a focus on the United Kingdom. Covers a wide range of sports including cricket, basketball, football (soccer), boxing, cycling, NFL, rugby, etc.
Sport Information Resource Centre
SIRC is a sports documentation and information center in Canada.
SIRC offers subscription databases. The Sport database contains more than 400,000
citations covering 1975 to present with approximately 1,200 new citations added
monthly. It includes some information on sports management which is of value
for the sports business community. The SportDiscus bibliographic database
includes topics such as corporate wellness, team building, physical health
of employees, and work-related activities.
Stefan Szymanski, PhD
Dr. Szymanski is the Stephen J. Galetti Collegiate Professor of Sport Management who writes regularly for Forbes and The Guardian on the business and economics of sports. His articles include: "A Theory of the Evolution of Modern Sport," Working Papers 0630, International Association of Sports Economists & North American Association of Sports Economists and "Why Have Premium Sports Rights Migrated to Pay-TV in Europe but not in the US?," IASE Conference Papers 0308, International Association of Sports Economists. Sporting Goods Manufacturing Association International (SGMA International)
The association is the global business trade association for manufacturers
and marketers of sports apparel, athletic footwear, licensed products, fitness,
sporting goods equipment and related business/professional organizations.
The Armature Athletic Foundation was endowed with funds left over from the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 (LA84). In 2007 it became known as the LA84 Foundation. The AAF Sports Library is a comprehensive collection of sports information. It provides traditional library services and has built an extensive digital collection of sports publications which is available for free in full-text.

MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference
This conference is for professionals (executives and leading researchers) and students to discuss the increasing role of analytics in the global sports industry. The conference started in 2006 but videos for past conference from 2009.

devoted to entertainment, sports, gaming, etc. Nearly every page of every forum
