The African and Middle Eastern Division and the Hebrew Language Table at the Library of Congress present
a program (in English) on the Iraqi Jewish Diaspora featuring a film and lecture by Producer Carole Basri. The film is titled "Searching for Baghdad; A Daughters Journey" and Producer Basri will be present for discussion following the film.

"Ancient Manuscripts from the Desert Libraries of Timbuktu"

An exhibition titled "Ancient Manuscripts from the Desert Libraries of Timbuktu" will open at the Library of Congress
on Tuesday, June 24. The exhibition has been planned in conjunction with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the
National Mall, which will feature the cultural heritage of Mali.
The exhibition will be on view in the South Gallery of the Great Hall in the Thomas Jefferson Building through
September 3. Hours for the exhibition are 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday..
