Description: Provides a gateway to information resources in science and technology conducted or supported at US government science agencies. The portal provides a federated search of over 40 scientific databases and 200 million pages of science information with just one query, and is a gateway to over 1,950 scientific websites. Two major types of information are included: selected authoritative science websites; and databases of technical reports, journal articles, conference proceeding and other published materials. New sites are added to science.gov approximately every 6 weeks. Science.gov is hosted by DOE’s Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), within DOE’s Office of Science. In addition to DOE, Science.gov is supported by contributing members of the Science.gov Alliance, including the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Health and Human Services, and the Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Government Printing Office, the Library of Congress, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the National Science Foundation, with support from the National Archives and Records Administration.
