Faculty Of 1000

Access: Publicly available resource

Description: F1000 is an online service in which over 4,500 leading researchers and clinicians share their expert opinions by highlighting and evaluating the most important articles in biology and medicine. The site focuses on primary research literature (vs. review articles) and identifies important papers published not only in major journals (such as Science, Nature, and Cell) but also in less prestigious journals with smaller circulation. Users can compare scientific journals on the basis of their high-quality research articles rather than on the basis of the journals’ impact factors.
