Description: UNESCO’s Atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger provides information on about 2,500 endangered, dying, and extinct languages and maps the trends in linguistic diversity at the global level. For each language (including the 230 languages which have gone extinct since 1950), the Atlas provides its name, degree of endangerment, and the country or countries where it is spoken.
