The nurse in charge is Red Cross nurse, Mrs. Usher, who did heroic duty in caring for the sufferers at Philadelphia until the Gulf Division could get nurses to this point. She then returned to her home in Meridian and is serving at Matty Hersee Hospital, where many storm victims, both white and black, are being given care
