(Oct 28, 2008) Media sources have reported that Thailand's Supreme Court has found the former Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, guilty of abusing his office and sentenced him to two years in prison. The finding and sentence were passed in absentia, as Thaksin Shinawatra is currently in the United Kingdom. It is likely that Thailand will seek to extradite Shinawatra.
