(Mar 30, 2010) The Parliament of Bangladesh has passed a bill to establish an information technology park. Entitled the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authorities Bill 2010, the bill is part of a broader government initiative to encourage the development of the information technology industry in Bangladesh. The government said the bill will contribute to industrialization, increased employment, and technology-related research in the country.
