(Dec 07, 2009) On November 23, 2009, implementation regulations for the Law on a Single System of Registration, Control and Collection of Social Security Contributions (the Law) of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBH) were published in the country's official gazette. The Law itself was published on July 6, 2009, and is applicable after January 1, 2010.

The implementing rules cover submission of claims for registration and updating data in the single system of registration. The contributions system for social security is now established within the FBH Tax Administration; that system will be used for tracking data on contributions that are collected by the Administration. Under the Law, that office must make its data available to the Federal Pension Fund; to the extra-budgetary funds for insurance covering health and unemployment, which are established at the canton (country) level; and to the Federal Statistics Agency.
