(Apr 13, 2009) On March 16, 2009, Presidents Manuel Zelaya of Honduras and Alvaro Uribe of Colombia signed a complementary agreement to the Basic Technical Cooperation Agreement of 1980, on technical cooperation in biofuels. They also inaugurated the construction of a biofuel plant for the production of biodiesel from African palm oil in the Honduran region of Colón, on the Caribbean coast.
