(Aug 18, 2009) On July 13, 2009, the office of the Mexican Attorney General and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced they had established a collaboration protocol to punish weapons traffickers. The protocol is aimed at collecting information to pursue more criminal cases against arms traffickers, both in the United States and in Mexico. While the two sides are still working on the agreement, it has yet to be finalized.
