“Ain't No Mountain High Enough” by Ashford and Simpson
Award-winning husband and wife songwriting duo Ashford (1941–2011) and Simpson (b. 1946) made their way to Motown with the inspired classic, “Ain't No Mountain High Enough.” The song first appeared in 1967 on the Tamla Motown label in a recording by Marvin Gaye (1939 –1984) and Tammi Terrell (1945–1970). It has since been sung and stylized by artists such as Diana Ross (b. 1944) and Whitney Houston (1963–2012).
