April is Jazz Appreciation Month

In April we celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with a series of three recent documentaries about Miles Davis, Fred Hersch and W. Eugene Smith’s jazz loft. The directors of all three will introduce their films.

His remarkable studio loft served as a magnetic draw for great performers and artists to play and hear music at all hours. Library of Congress Jazz Scholar Sam Stephenson will answer questions about his experiences there after the screening.
