Getting Started

Classification Web provides catalogers with online full-text display of all Library of Congress classification schedules--including G class geographic cutters, and complete Library of Congress subject headings. Correlations among LC classification numbers, LC subject headings and Dewey classification numbers are also readily available.

In this Quick Tip, designed and developed by Library of Congress's Instructional Design and Training Division for the Cataloging Distribution Service, you will learn how to Navigate in Classification Web in 3-4 minutes.

After you enter the URL: http://classificationweb.net you will be taken to the opening screen below. When you select the Log in button you will be given the main menu for Classification Web.
