The Library of Congress began implementation of the new guidelines for Korean transliteration and word division (PDF - 65 p.; 748K) on all bibliographic records and authority records newly created as of March 15, 2009. The Library will begin to perform bibliographic file maintenance on August 1, 2009. The comment period on these guidelines closed on June 1, 2009; the Library will finalize the guidelines in preparation for outside implementation on October 1, 2009.
