Patricia McCormick is the author of the several acclaimed novels, including Cut, My Brother's Keeper and Sold (Hyperion, 2006). She researched Sold by traveling to India and Nepal, where she interviewed the women of Calcutta's red-light district. Her books have been honored as National Book Award finalists and American Library Association Best Books (2002, 2007). She lives in New York City.
