When J. A. Jance was introduced to Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz in the second grade, she knew she wanted to be a writer. She is The New York Times best-selling author of the J.P. Beaumont series, the Joanna Brady series, and three standalone thrillers. Her latest J. P. Beaumont novel is titled Justice Denied (William Morrow/HarperCollins, 2007). She lives in Seattle and Tucson.
