Rosalind Wiseman is co-founder of the Empower Program, a nonprofit organization that empowers youth to stop violence and reaches more than 10,000 youth and educators each year. She is the author of the New York Times best-seller Queen Bees & Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends, and Other Realities of Adolescence (2002), which was the inspiration for the hit movie “Mean Girls.” Her most recent book, another New York Times best-seller, is Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads (Random House, 2006). The film rights for that book have been acquired by Paramount Pictures. A resident of Washington, D.C., she writes a column for Family Circle magazine and has contributed articles to Education Digest and Principal Leadership Magazine.
