Webcast

When best-selling author Phyllis Reynolds Naylor was young she could hardly wait until she could read and write her own books. By the time she reached the fifth grade, “writing books” was her favorite hobby. She now spends some time each day writing (usually for about six hours) and has written more than 125 books, including the Newbery Award winner Shiloh (1991), which was also an ALA Notable Book. Her other writings include books in the Alice series and the Witch series. Four books have been issued in her Cat Pack series for ages 8-12, including the most recent Polo’s Mother (Simon & Schuster, 2005). Ms. Naylor lives in Maryland.
