Veteran broadcast journalist Andrea Mitchell’s career spans four decades from police reporter in Philadelphia to NBC-TV’s chief foreign affairs correspondent, a position she has held since November 1994. Her book, Talking Back (Penguin, 2005), is a memoir about her experiences as one of the first women to cover five presidents, Congress, and foreign policy. She is the recipient of the Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and the Leonard Zeidenberg Award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association. She lives in Washington, D.C.
